Milled tooth tricones rock bits - Small diameters

milled tooth tricones rock bitsManufactured with superior quality steel, advanced technologies, designed for use with compressed air or fluid circulation systems.
Regular and Jet circulation available.
Cutting structures allow optimum penetration rates and long runs even in the most difficult and abrasive formations.
Weight on the bit is distributed through a five part anti-friction bearing matched and ground with precision to tolerances of ± 0,0002".
Critical areas on the external portion of the bit are protected with tunsten carbide alloy hardfacing.

Available for:

  • Soft
  • Medium - Soft
  • Medium - Hard
  • Hard formations

Tungsten carbide rock bits - Small diameters

tricone rock bitWhen drilling hard and abrasive formations with tooth type rock bits, an excessive wear of the teeth may occur. It is necessary in such cases to use tungsten carbide insert rock bits. A specified in the next table of drilling parameters, more weight must be given when drilling with T.C.I. rock bits in order to obtain a major compression effect on hard rock being drilled.

Tooth type tricone rock bits

Soft formations
Bits that feature long, widely spaced teeth, to drill soft formation such as shales, soft sandstone, clay and all unconsolidated formations.

IADC CODES 111 - 126 - 134

tricone iadc111

Medium formations
With medium length teeth, closer spaces, to drill unconsolidated limestones, medium sandstones, clay, marls

IADC CODES 211 - 224 - 234

tricone iadc211

Medium Hard - Hard formations
With short, closely spaced teeth with tungsten carbide hardfacing, for hard and abrasive formations such as sandstones, dolomite, hard limestone and granite.

IADC CODES 311 - 314 - 321

tricone iadc311

Insert tricone rock bits

Soft - Medium Soft formations
Features large chisel-shaped tungsten carbide inserts to provide the highest penetration rates in the softest formations such as shales, clays, limestone and sands.

IADC CODES 437 - 517 - 527

tricone iadc437

Medium Hard - Hard formations
Effective in a variety of formations with higher compressive strength such as hard limestone, sandstone, dolomite and other formations with high abrasive quality, hard streaks and broken formations.

IADC CODES 617 - 627 - 637

tricone iadc617

Hard and abrasive formations
With hemispherical tungsten carbide inserts. To optimize penetration rate in hard and abrasive formations such as granites, basalts, quartzite and chert. Drilling weight of 3 ± 4 tons per inch of diameter should be applied.
