 The
Float Valve mainly prevents back flow inside the drilling string.
ADVANTAGES
- Avoids formation of plugs inside the bits
- Avoids cuttings to flow back into the drill pipe
Under deep drilling condition, the drill string should be kept
full in order to balance the hydrostatic column inside and outside
of the string, so avoiding failures due to overpressure.
 INSTALLATION
The float valve is easily installed in the body of a drill
collar or a stabilizer or a sub simply greasing the outer rubber
seals and putting the valve in the cavity previously made.
