WD
ALBISOL WD is a very effective biodegradable, non
toxic liquid oil spill dispersant.
APPLICATION
ALBISOL WD is used to combat oil pollution on sea, coastal
waters and beaches.
The use of ALBISOL WD gives the following advantages:
- it may substantially reduce the potential environmental damage
by treating the spill at an early stage before it reaches the
coast.
- it is simple to operate not requiring sophisticate mechanical
devices.
- it works in all weather and sea conditions.
ALBISOL WD appears to operate by decreasing the interfacial tension
between oil and water. This enhances the dispersion of oil into
fine droplets assisting the biodegradation process, increasing the
oil surface available for bacterial attack.
TREATMENT
ALBISOL WD can be applied neat or water diluted; at sea
by means of boats fitted with spraying equipment, ashore by means
of portable spraying equipment of any kind of mobile pumping units.
ALBISOL WD is used in the range from 1:1 to 1:10 (dispersant -
oil ratio) according to the nature of the oil.
